Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels fan-fictions

Grand Admiral Thrawn is an Imperial Chiss Officer – an alien and the only one of his kind within the hierarchy of the Empire. He is ordered by Emperor Palpatine to retrieve a secret fleet built by his Master’s Master, Darth Tenebreous or Rugess Nome, a Bith Shipbuilder that used Sith enchanted materials for the starships. However before Thrawn became a Grand Admiral, he had to care for a small Mandalorian girl whom he was her patron until he lost contact with her from the Imperial Academy on Mandalore. The girl’s name was Sabine Wren and he taught her art and music theory. Their lives suddenly become interwoven into a galaxy replete with art and him tracking her every direction.

Conflict: Force vs Non-Force

SWAG 77 RPers mainly: Mara Jade, Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla

0. Mara Jade’s secret conference call with the Emperor turns ugly. The Emperor has ordered the orbital bombardment of Lothal. When it will happen is anyone’s guess.

1. Sabine notices Mara’s distress who orders her to shore up the barricades, and does not say why, but says that Lieutenant Bo-Katan was here and told her to do it. Sabine argues with Mara, causing her to pull away.

2. Hera witnesses the behavior and is told “no” by Sabine. They agree to leave Mara alone. Then Sabine tells Hera that the barricades need to be strengthened when Hera intercepts a secret decoded message that a fleet of Star Destroyers have just come out of hyperspace.

3. Shocked they race to get the barricades in place when suddenly, the bombardment starts. It is across the planet. It looks like huge laser knives cutting across the planet like butter. Both Hera and Sabine are stunned. Then shuttles of troops fall from the sky with probedroids and some strange new metal beasts that are 20 feet high — AT-AT walkers, which slice open the city one neighborhood at a time while the stormtroopers kill the people.

4. The Rebels do what they can to defend themselves but hide in their bunker where Mara is crying profusely muttering “they did it because of me.” repeatedly. Hera races to her GHOST to see what she can do, while Sabine escorts Mara to the ship dodging blaster fire and lasers. She pushes Mara into the gunner seat while she goes into the other and tells her to fight.

5. Meanwhile, the Inquisitor is gets reports of how successful the campaign is going. He senses Mara’s plight and says some “Darth Vadery” sort of thing… “It is the last of the Rebels. It is end of the Rebellion…” When out of no where, Bo-Katan and her ships fire on the Inquisitor blasting the Star Destroyers into pieces. And she talks major shit to the Inquistor. A Star Destroyer falls out of orbit into Lothalian atmosphere.

6. Everyone runs together and happy reunion.

7. Denouement: Vader steps in a holo and curses out the Inquisitor for failing and chokes him.

What is #StarWars Canon, Now?

Stargate needs to be in Star Wars?

You know, when you see roleplays (RPs) by less than serious Star Wars fans that godmod and attempt to add elements from different Universes? They are a multi-verse RPer, which is okay if you want to do that, but then these same di’kuts attempt to dominate the entire landscape of RP on the social media platform, which makes integrity to Star Wars content lax? Don’t you hate those kind of newbies?

Then you try to “argue” with them about not adding elements from other movies or verses that cannot be justified in the current Star Wars verses and they throw up in your face about the recent developments by Lucasfilm and what they did with the Star Wars Expanded Universe canon.  How do you argue that?

You don’t argue canon vs non-canon. You don’t argue element additions from different verses. What you do is use business like I taught you on The Cost of Star Wars Fandom Facebook page.

Your primary allegiance should be to Star Wars and the Force – if you call yourself a legitimate Star Wars fansite. If you are a multi-verse fansite, your application to RP and all performances and business attributes are different.

Most good writers KNOW the difference and they know when they add new and creative attributes to the Star Wars story it is based on their creative writing training and reading – A LOT OF MATERIAL, including the Star Wars Expanded Universe (SWEU). Since eliminating the SWEU was purely a business decision – and it was – the conversation about Star Wars story arcs and scripts has to be from a BUSINESS perspective.

The movie, Stargate was created in 1994 by Metro-Golden-Meyer and Carolco. The creators were Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin. It amassed $200 million over time, worldwide. In May 29, 2014 Warner Bros and MGM announced they will re-boot the movie with the same creators.

We all know about Star Wars and how it was done — you should if you call yourself a Star Wars fan running a Star Wars fansite. If not, if you suggest an element from another verse, it  is COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT!

The story element of a Stargate makes little sense in Star Wars. Why would a Stargate be needed for wormhole travel? Why not a ship like Star Trek using a natural anomaly?  OR IF YOU READ A STAR WARS BOOK: Wormhole or Time Travel THROUGH THE FORCE DID NOT REQUIRE A SHIP!  But you wouldn’t know that since you failed to read the SWEU! Because if you DID, you would say idiotic stuff about a Stargate.

What Star Wars character created a wormhole in space? Hmm? Guess you wouldn’t know that either.

Not to mention stealing Warner Bros and MGM’s intellectual property trumping any creative enterprise of Disney Lucasfilm. Good going for the home team, traitor!

Hey…#StarWars Fans, Ignore Us #RPers, We’ll Go Away – SAID NO ONE EVER!

Some Fans cosplay. Some Fans podcast. And some fans post. But the fans that roleplay on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and G+) are different – their fandom is more intense..

They might cosplay. They might podcast. And they probably post a lot. But if they roleplay, they have discussed and shared their ideas in a post in a character’s voice and the few images that might be available.

To roleplay Star Wars online requires a lot of reading. Reading regularly. Reading references and news articles, and then some more reading. Some roleplayers (RPers) don’t do that, and it reflects on their roleplay (RP). But the good ones are ALWAYS READING STAR WARS ALL THE TIME!

Why RP is not a job is beyond me. RP preparation consumes the bulk of my time. I have to keep up with the latest novels and reference books.

There are many reasons why people RP. However, the most important reason to RP in the Star Wars Actors Guild 77 is fun in storytelling. If RP is just a hobby to mess around and make friends during free time, then why be so elaborate and create fan art, music, fan fictions, dances, youtubes, padlets, etc. for it? RP is too labor-intense as a hobby. Sure, people can just be lazy and mess around in a RP every now and then. But the amount of time it takes to manage a good RP, says that calling it a hobby is offensive. RP is true fandom, just like cosplaying is. And with the advances in social media and interaction with favorite celebrities and character, RP could become a highlight for non-RPing fans.

The Star Wars Actors Guild 77 has conveyed these facts repeatedly to Lucasfilm. They understand the power of roleplay on social media. Some of their workers may think it silly, until they see the SWAG 77 RPers and they know we will honor the integrity of their products and follow their planned organization.

Our formal RPs are fun to watch because we are grounded in reading, writing, and performance. Our delivery is accurate, strong and authentic.

These are the tenets of Star Wars Actors Guild 77 (SWAG77) Roleplay Performances.

Reading = Writing = Performance

Accurate = Strong = Authentic
